The 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition will be lighter, faster and even more dynamic than the 2020 Type R. This limited edition will feature all the updates of the 2020 model, plus additional enhancements designed to make it the ultimate roadworthy Civic Type R.
Of note, only 100 units of the 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition, all featuring the new high-gloss Phoenix Yellow paint and individually numbered serial plates, will be sold in Canada. The limited edition also features the following changes from the base model:
- Lightweight forged aluminum wheels from renowned manufacturer BBS (total unsprung weight reduction of 18 lb);
- Additional weight reduction through the reduction of more sound-absorbing materials.
With new two-piece brake discs and brake pads designed to reduce fading and improve braking efficiency at high speeds, and a suspension that includes shock absorbers for improved ride comfort, stiffer rear bushings for better grip, and revisions to the front suspension and steering for a better feel, the 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition will not only be strong, but will perform beautifully on the road.
In the cabin, the 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition comes with additional refinement that includes a new Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and a new shift lever with a redesigned knob and shorter shift times.
